COL BKB (W): Stanford 73, Oklahoma 66

SAN ANTONIO, April 4 (UPI) -- Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored 24 of her 38 points in the second half Sunday as Stanford downed Oklahoma 73-66 to reach the NCAA Women's Tournament title game.

Ogwumike collected 16 rebounds and Jayne Appel had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinal (36-1), who advanced to championship game against Connecticut, a 70-50 winner over Baylor in Sunday's other semifinal game.

Kayla Pedersen chipped in with 12 points as Stanford gained the title game for the second time in three years. The Cardinal lost to Tennessee in the 2008 title game.

Danielle Robinson's layup pulled Oklahoma to within three points at 69-66 with 16 seconds to go, but the Cardinal broke Oklahoma's full-court press as Ogwumike got behind the defense and made a layup to confirm the win.

Robinson pumped in 23 points and Nyeshia Stevenson contributed 15, but the Sooners (27-11) couldn't complete a comeback from an 18-point deficit with less than 7 minutes remaining.
