SUNRISE, Fla., April 3 (UPI) -- Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 19-of-20 shots and Brandon Prust scored the go-ahead goal Saturday as the New York Rangers downed Florida 4-1.

Prust's tally midway through the third period gave New York a 2-1 lead. It was part of a four-goal third-period onslaught that helped the Rangers keep their playoff hopes alive.

With the win, New York passed Atlanta and moved into an eighth-place tie with Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference with 82 points.

Marc Staal, Chris Drury and Marian Gaborik also lit the lamp in the final stanza as the streaking Rangers won their third straight and fifth in six games.

Keith Ballard gave Florida its only goal while Scott Clemmensen let in three goals on 26 shots in the defeat.
