CHICAGO, April 3 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose scored 26 points and Kirk Hinrich added 24 Saturday as the Chicago Bulls posted a 96-88 decision over Charlotte.
The Bulls have won six of their last eight contests to keep their post-season hopes alive, remaining 1 1/2 games behind Toronto for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. The Raptors downed Philadelphia in overtime Saturday.
Chicago got 14 points and 15 rebounds from Taj Gibson while Luol Deng connected for 12 points.
The Bobcats were led by Boris Diaw, who had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Larry Hughes and Gerald Wallace finished with 14 points each in the loss.
