
INDIANAPOLIS, April 3 (UPI) -- Jon Scheyer and Kyle Singler teamed up for 44 points Saturday as Duke rolled over West Virginia 78-57 in an NCAA Tournament semifinal game.
Scheyer connected on five 3-pointers and finished with 23 points and six assists while Singler contributed 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Blue Devils (34-5) advanced to Monday's NCAA Tournament championship game against Butler, which edged Michigan State 52-50 in Saturday's first semifinal.
Nolan Smith added 19 points and six assists in the Blue Devils' win.
Duke made 13-of-25 3-point attempts and shot 52.7 percent overall from the field. The Blue Devils were appearing in their first NCAA semifinal since 2004 and are seeking their fourth national championship.
Wellington Smith led West Virginia (31-7) with 12 points, while Devin Ebanks added 11 and Da'Sean Butler chipped in with 10 points before exiting the game with a leg injury with 9 minutes left in the game.
