Jonathan Bernier stopped 27 shots for the Kings, who won their second straight game after losing four straight and ran their point total to 94 -- five ahead of eighth-place Colorado in the Western Conference with five games left in the regular season.
Kyle Wellwood scored twice and Ryan Kesler scored once for the Canucks, who came up short in their bid to nail down a playoff spot. Vancouver, third in the West, could clinch a playoff berth Friday in Anaheim.
