HOUSTON, April 1 (UPI) -- Brad Davis scored on second-half penalty kicks 3 minutes apart Thursday in rallying the Houston Dynamo past Real Salt Lake 2-1.

Salt Lake took an early lead in a bid to open its season with two straight victories, when Pat Onstad scored in the 18th minute -- his third goal in two games. Salt Lake defeated San Jose in its opener.

RLS surrendered the two penalties against Houston on a pair of fouls committed by Jamison Olave.

Houston did not get off a shot on goal for the entire game during the regular run of play.

The Dynamo played to a tie with Dallas in its season opener.
