LOS ANGELES, March 28 (UPI) -- Reggie Williams scored 25 points and the Golden State Warriors rode a 40-14 second quarter to a 121-103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday.
The victory was Don Nelson's 1,330th as an NBA coach, putting him within three of surpassing the record, held by Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens.
Playing without leading scorer Monta Ellis -- who sat out with the flu -- the Warriors went 17-of-26 from the field during the red-hot second quarter, while the Clippers were shooting just 25 percent (4-of-16).
Rasual Butler scored 21 points and Eric Gordon had 20 for the Clippers, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games.
