AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 28 (UPI) -- Ronald Murray put in 23 points off the bench and Derrick Rose added 21 Sunday as the Chicago Bulls downed Detroit 110-103.
Rose distributed nine assists while Brad Miller chipped in with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists as Chicago pulled closer to a playoff spot.
Coupled with Toronto's loss to Miami Sunday, the Bulls' win moved them to within a half-game of the final Eastern Conference post-season slot.
Chicago took control midway through the second quarter when they went on a 15-4 run to extend their lead from nine to 20 points with 3 minutes to go. The streak was capped by Rose's jumper, which helped push Chicago to a 62-44 advantage at the break.
Richard Hamilton scored 29 points and Rodney Stuckey contributed 20 off the bench in the Pistons' loss.
