Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 26 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace produced 17 of his 23 points in the third period Friday and Charlotte handed Washington its 14th consecutive loss -- 107-96.
The losing streak is the longest in franchise history.
Charlotte moved closer to its first playoff berth, climbing 4 1/2 games ahead of ninth-place Chicago in the Eastern Conference.
Stephen Jackson contributed 20 points, 11 of which came in the opening period, and Raymond Felton had 19. It was Charlotte's third straight victory.
Washington was led by Alonzo Gee with 19 points, a career high. Washington has not won since Feb. 28 at New Jersey.
