CHICAGO, March 25 (UPI) -- Jermaine O'Neal scored 24 points Thursday and the Miami Heat rode a quick start to a 103-74 smashing of Chicago.
The Heat opened a 63-33 halftime lead en route to their third straight victory.
Chicago missed a chance to inch closer to a playoff berth, instead falling 2 1/2 games behind Toronto for the final post-season spot in the Eastern Conference. Miami moved a half game in front of Charlotte for the sixth position.
Dwyane Wade added 12 points and 10 assists for Miami, which limited Chicago to 32 percent shooting. The Bulls were led by Hakim Warrick with 14.
Chicago had won its previous two games after losing 10 in a row.
