NHL: Dallas 3, Nashville 1

NASHVILLE, March 23 (UPI) -- Kari Lehtonen was tough in nets, stopping 34 of 35 shots and boosting the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 decision over Nashville Tuesday.

The Stars scored twice in the final frame, with Loui Eriksson notching the game-winner in third while Trevor Daley and Matt Niskanen also scored in Dallas' win.

Brad Richards collected a pair of helpers as the Stars pulled to within seven points in back of Detroit for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with nine games to go.

The Predators saw their six-game winning streak snapped with the loss and remained tied with Los Angeles for sixth place in the West. Shea Weber got Nashville's only score while Pekka Rinne stopped 11 shots in the defeat.
