COL BKB: Miss. 90, Texas Tech 87 (20T)

OXFORD, Miss., March 23 (UPI) -- Murphy Holloway's 3-point play with 3 seconds left in the second overtime Tuesday sent Mississippi to a 90-87 win over Texas Tech in an NIT quarterfinal game.

Chris Warren chipped in with 22 points as second-seeded Ole Miss (24-10) moved on to Madison Square Garden for the National Invitational Tournament semifinals, where they will face either top-seeded Illinois or No. 3 seed Dayton.

Holloway and Terrico White each contributed 17 points and Holloway pulled down 11 caroms in the victory. Mississippi's win was keyed by its prowess at the foul line, outscoring Texas Tech 11-3 in the 10 total minutes of the two overtime sessions.

Mike Singletary collected 28 points and Brad Reese chipped in with 14 for the Red Raiders (19-16) in the defeat.
