NBA: Miami 99, New Jersey 89

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 22 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade notched 27 points and Jermaine O'Neal added 25 Monday to boost the Miami Heat to a 99-89 decision over New Jersey.

Wade dished off 12 assists and hauled down seven rebounds for Miami, which won its fifth game in seven contests. The Heat got a 16-point effort from Michael Beasley.


The Nets fell to 7-63 for the season, inching closer to the NBA's all-time worst record of 9-73 turned in by the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers.

Brook Lopez pumped in 26 points while Devin Harris ended with 16 points and six assists in New Jersey's eighth straight loss.
