Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

LOS ANGELES, March 21 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol scored 28 points and Kobe Bryant had 24, 20 of them in the second quarter, to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 99-92 win over Washington Sunday.
Ron Artest scored 16 and Shannon Brown scored 13 for the Lakers, who won their sixth straight and handed the Wizards their 12th straight loss.
Nick Young led Washington with a season-high with 22 points. Al Thornton had 18 points and Andray Blatche had 16 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.
The Lakers carried an 82-60 lead into the fourth quarter and the Wizards never seriously challenged after that, despite cutting the deficit to single digits with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game.
