ST. PAUL, Minn., March 21 (UPI) -- Chuck Kobasew scored a pair of goals Sunday to pace the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 victory over Calgary.
Minnesota also got goals from Andrew Brunette and Guillaume Latendresse while Josh Harding made 29 saves en route to the victory, the Wild's fourth win in six games.
Harding came up particularly big in the third period after Eric Nystrom tipped in a shot from the point from Cory Sarich at 5:49 to make it 4-3. The Minnesota netminder nailed down the win by stopping Jarome Iginla on two chances from close-in during the final minute.
Steve Staios, Ian White and Nystrom tallied for the Flames, who suffered a key setback with the loss. They were unable to make up ground against Detroit, which holds a 2-point advantage in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
