RABAT, Morocco, March 20 (UPI) -- Louis Oosthuizen carded a nine-under 64 Saturday, his second straight such score, seizing a two-stroke lead after three rounds of the Hassan II Golf Trophy.
The South African, a five-time winner on the Sunshine Tour but looking for his first European circuit title, has completed 54 holes at 20-under-par 198 in Rabat, Morocco.
Rhys Davies, who was the leader Friday after two rounds, registered a five-under 68 and was alone in second at minus-18. Third place was shared by Thomas Levet (68) and Thomas Aiken (67) at 16-under-par 202.
Saturday's round was played at the par-73 Red Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. Sunday's final round will also be played there after the first rounds were carried out at the par-72 Blue Course.
"I played nicely and hit the ball well," Oosthuizen said. "My ball-striking was quite good today. I putted well again today too. Now that you look back probably it feels like (the easiest 64 I've had), but I was quite focused out there."
