COL BKB: Texas Tech 69, Jacksonville 64

LUBBOCK, Texas, March 20 (UPI) -- Brad Reese notched 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Saturday as Texas Tech downed Jacksonville 69-64 in a second-round National Invitational Tournament game.

The fifth-seeded Red Rangers (19-15) also got 14 points from John Roberson while Mike Singletary netted 13 and D'walyn Roberts donated 10 points while hauling down 9 rebounds.

Texas Tech trailed 35-28 at the half, but they bounced back by connecting on 13-of-29 shots from the field in the second stanza. The Red Rangers will now face second-seeded Ole Miss in the NIT quarterfinals.

Ben Smith led Jacksonville (20-13) with 17 points in the defeat.
