Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

DENVER, March 19 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony had 26 points Thursday and claimed a career-high 18 rebounds in carrying the Denver Nuggets to a 93-80 victory over New Orleans.
Denver won for the eighth time in nine games, captured its seventh home contest in a row and moved a half game in front of Dallas for the second-best record in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets have a 30-5 home record this season.
Nene added 20 points and J.R. Smith had 17 for the Nuggets, who took a 25-point lead at halftime.
New Orleans was led by 15 points each from Darren Collision and Marcus Thornton.
Denver Coach George Karl missed his sixth game since announcing he had been diagnosed with throat and neck cancer. The Nuggets won the season series 3-1.
