MILWAUKEE, March 19 (UPI) -- Iman Shumpert and Maurice Miller teamed to make four free throws in the final minute Friday, boosting Georgia Tech to a 64-59 NCAA win over Oklahoma State.
The Yellow Jackets rallied from a five-point halftime deficit and held on down the stretch to advance as a No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region.
Shumpert made two foul shots with 42 seconds remaining to give Georgia Tech a three-point lead. Derrick Favors then stole the ball from Oklahoma State's James Anderson, leading to Miller being fouled by Obi Muonelo.
Miller's two free throws accounted for the final score and Georgia Tech's victory was assured when Anderson missed a 3-point try with 8 seconds to play.
Gani Lawal paced Georgia Tech (23-12) with 14 points and Favors had 12. Shumpert made only 1-of-6 attempts from the field but was good on 7-of-8 from the line for nine points. The Yellow Jackets hit all but one of their 25 foul shots.
Oklahoma State (22-11) was led by Marshall Moses with 14 points and Keiton Page with 13.
