Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

STARKVILLE, N.C., March 17 (UPI) -- Jarvis Varnado had 21 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday to lead Mississippi State to an 81-67 first-round win in the National Invitational Tournament.
Dee Bost ha 18 points and six assists and Kodi Augustus scored 13 for the Bulldogs, (24-11), who advance to a second-round meeting with North Carolina.
Garrison Johnson scored 32 and Tyrone Hanson had 11 for Jackson State (19-13), which shot just 36 percent from the field in the first half and trailed 32-23 at the break.
Mississippi State made 29-of-38 free throws to just 13-of-16 for the Jackson State Tigers.
