NHL: Minnesota 4, Edmonton 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 16 (UPI) -- Minnesota scored a pair of goals in the third period and went on to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 Tuesday.

Andrew Ebbett and Martin Havlat both had a goal and an assist for the Wild, who won their third in a row and beat Edmonton for the 13th consecutive time at Xcel Energy Center.

Chuck Kobesaw scored for Minnesota at 4:37 of the third period to snap a 2-2 tie. Havlat added an insurance goal at 8:14.

Antti Miettinen scored late in the second period on a power play to put Minnesota ahead 2-1.

Josh Harding notched 34 saves for the Wild and withstood a 6-on-4 Edmonton power play with 3:33 to play in the game.

Jeff Deslauriers stopped 24-of-28 shots for the Oilers, who have lost 17 of their last 18 games. Marc Pouliot tied the game 1-1 at 8:36 of the first period. Ryan Potulny tied the game 2-2 at 1:14 of the third.
