VIRGINIA WATER, England, March 16 (UPI) -- Ernie Els's first PGA victory in two years returned him to the Top 10 of the world men's golf rankings.

Els won last week's WGC-CA Championship by four strokes, defeating his South African countryman Charl Schwartzel by four strokes. Els last won on the tour in March 2008 at the Honda Classic.

The victory Sunday moved him from 20th to No. 8 in the world. Over his career Els has been in the world Top 10 for 759 weeks, more than any other golfer.

Schwartzel, who opened the year with back-to-back European PGA Tour wins, has improved from a year-end ranking of 65 to this week's No. 27 spot.

The top of the rankings is unchanged with Tigers Woods at No. 1 followed by, in order, Steve Stricker, Phil Michelson and Lee Westwood. The rest of the Top 10 was completely shaken up.

Paul Casey is up one spot to No. 5, switching places with Ian Poulter. Martin Kaymer is also up one place to seventh. After Els is Jim Furyk, down two to ninth, and No. 10 Padraig Harrington, who was 13th a week ago. Kaymer and Harrington were among golfers tied for third at the WFA-CA.
