ATLANTA, March 14 (UPI) -- Adrian Aucoin's fourth-round shootout goal carried the Phoenix Coyotes to a 3-2 victory over Atlanta Sunday.

After Radim Vrbata of the Coyotes answered Rich Peverley's shootout score, Aucoin notched the game-winner with a wrist shot that bounced off in the right post and into the back of the net, giving Phoenix its fifth straight win.

The Coyotes got regulation-time goals from Matthew Lombardi and Lee Stempniak while Jason LaBarbera notched 39 saves in the win.

The Thrashers, who lost their sixth straight, got a goal and an assist each from Nik Antropov and Maxim Afinogenov. Ondrej Pavelec saved 32-of-34 Coyotes shots in the loss.
