ST. PAUL, Minn., March 14 (UPI) -- Mikko Koivu scored a goal and added two assists Sunday, lifting the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 triumph over St. Louis.
Minnesota got a goal and an assist each from Andrew Brunette and Antti Miettinen and Guillaume Latendresse scored his 25th goal of the season, extending his career-best scoring total.
Backup goalie Josh Harding started for injured Nicklas Backstrom for the third straight game and won his second in a row, stopping 35 shots in the Wild's victory.
The Blues suffered a setback in their push for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot, losing after notching wins in seven of their previous eight to move within striking distance.
Paul Kariya and Patrik Berglund tallied for the Blues in the loss.
