UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 13 (UPI) -- Sean Bergenheim netted a short-handed goal late in the third period to pace the New York Islanders to a 4-2 decision over New Jersey Saturday.

Freddy Meyer, Jon Sim and Mark Streit also lit the lamp for the Islanders, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Dwayne Roloson was stout in goal for New York, making 38 saves for the win.

New Jersey got markers from Mike Mottau and Ilya Kovalchuk. Ex-Islanders goalie Yann Danis played in place of Martin Brodeur, allowing four goals on 29 shots in the loss.
