DENVER, March 11 (UPI) -- Craig Anderson made 27 saves Thursday and collected his seventh shutout of the season in bringing the Colorado Avalanche a 3-0 win over Florida.
Half of Anderson's career shutouts over seven NHL campaigns have come this season.
Florida missed out on a bid for what would have been its first four-game winning streak of the year.
Paul Stastny scored twice, both goals coming in the second period. Matt Hendricks added an insurance tally with 3:35 left in the third.
Colorado moved within three points of idle Vancouver for the lead in the Northwest Division.
Tomas Vokoun stopped 28-of-31 shots in the loss.
