Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24


DENVER, March 8 (UPI) -- Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin will receive therapy for his ailing left knee, the team said Monday.
Martin will undergo platelet rich plasma therapy on the after sitting out Denver's past two games, in which the Nuggets notched wins against Portland and Indiana.
Martin had been playing in pain for several weeks before the condition worsened in recent days and he was forced to come out.
The Nuggets said he has chronic patella tendinitis, and while it is unknown when he will return to play, Martin, a 10-year NBA veteran, is expected back this season.
He is averaging 11.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game so far this season.
