Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 7 (UPI) -- Dany Heatley and Joe Pavelski scored third-period goals Saturday to rally the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 victory over Columbus.
Trailing 1-0 entering the third, Heatley lit the lamp at the 7:53 mark when he connected on a one-timer off a Joe Thornton pass while the Sharks were on the power play.
Pavelski then notched the game-winner on wrist shot from the left side with 4:40 remaining in the game.
Evgeni Nabokov made 21 stops in nets for San Jose.
The Blue Jackets got their lone tally from Andrew Murray while Steve Mason made 42 saves for Columbus, which lost for the fourth straight time.
