ATLANTA, March 7 (UPI) -- Manny Legace posted his first shutout the season Sunday, stopping 27 shots to lead the Carolina Hurricanes to a 4-0 win over Atlanta.

Jussi Jokinen had a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes, who won for the eighth time in nine outings.

Carolina also got goals from Brandon Sutter, Joni Pitkanen and Rod Brind'Amour.

Ondrej Pavelec saved 29-of-33 shots for Atlanta, losers of two straight.
