
EAST LANSING, Mich., March 7 (UPI) -- Raymar Morgan scored 22 points Sunday and No. 12 Michigan State claimed a share of the Big Ten title with a 64-48 rout of Michigan.
Morgan collected 10 rebounds while Kalin Lucas and Delvin Roe each ended with 10 points as Michigan State (24-7, 14-4 Big Ten) finished its regular season with three straight wins and five victories in six contests.
The Spartans ended up splitting the conference crown with Purdue and Ohio State. Under the league's tiebreaker rules, they will be the third seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament.
The rout was on from the beginning, as the Spartans started the game with a 25-8 run. Lucas and Roe hit layups and Morgan closed the first half with a 3-point play for a 32-14 advantage at the half.
Zack Gibson led Michigan (14-16, 7-11) with 10 points.
