PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Camilo Villegas grabbed sole possession of the Honda Classic lead Saturday, firing a three-under 67 at the PGA National Resort in Florida.

Villegas ended 54 holes at 11-under 199, three strokes ahead of 1999 champion Vijay Singh, who shot a one-under 69, and Australian Nathan Green, who finished with a three-under 67 in round three.

Singh and Green were knotted at eight-under 202, while George McNeill carded a four-under 66 to share fourth place with Matt Every, who shot a one-under 69 to finish at minus-six after 54 holes.

Villegas was in his native Colombia early in the week to host the Nationwide Tour event in that country, then came to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., in time for Thursday's first round of the Honda Classic.

He latched onto a piece of the second-round lead after shooting a 66 on Friday.
