SUNRISE, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Tomas Vokoun made 31 saves and Cory Stillman scored a third-period goal to pace the Florida Panthers to a 4-1 triumph over Carolina.

The Panthers built an early 2-0 lead and Vokoun's excellent play in nets kept it that way through the first two periods with 16 saves. But the Hurricanes pulled to within a goal on Jussi Jokinen's rebound tally at 7:58 of the third.

Stillman restored Florida's two-goal cushion four minutes later on a one-timer on a pass from Steven Reinprecht. Kamil Kreps scored twice, including an empty-net goal, and Michael Frolik also tallied for the Panthers in the win.

Justin Peters had 26 saves in his fourth start of the season for Carolina, which is 11-3-0 in its last 14 games.
