NBA: Oklahoma City 104, LA Clippers 87

LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant scored 32 points Friday and Oklahoma City scored the first eight points of the fourth period to pull away from the Los Angeles Clippers 104-87.

Durant bounced back from his lowest output of 2010, a 19-point effort against Denver on Wednesday, to lead the Thunder to their 13th win in 16 games.

Oklahoma City moved within a game of Phoenix for fifth place in the Western Conference post-season race and is only two games behind Utah for fourth place and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Thunder had a nine-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and then put the game away with its surge to start the period. The Clippers came no closer than 12 points the rest of the way.

Joe Harden added 17 for Oklahoma City and Russell Westbrook had 15. Los Angeles was led by 19 from both Chris Kaman and Craig Smith.
