Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NASHVILLE, March 4 (UPI) -- Pekka Rinne bounced back after giving up an early goal Thursday and the Nashville Predators won their third in a row with a 4-2 triumph over Los Angeles.
Rinne was beaten just 54 seconds into the game by Alexander Frolov, after which Nashville ran off three straight goals.
The last of those was the eventual game-winner, coming from Marcel Goc 2:30 into the third period. Drew Doughty scored on the power-play 4 minutes later to bring the Kings within one.
Nashville did not clinch it until Jerred Smithson scored into an empty net with 54 seconds to play.
Rinne made 20 saves, helping the Predators defeat the Kings for the sixth straight time.
Jonathan Quick allowed three goals on 32 shots for LA.
