NBA: Phoenix 127, Los Angeles Clippers 101

LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire helped turn a close game into a runaway Wednesday by leading the Phoenix Suns to a 127-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Suns won for the seventh time in eight games, outscoring the Clippers by 21 points in the third period after trailing by one at intermission.

Stoudemire scored 30 points, Channing Frye had 23 and Jason Richardson 22. Guard Steve Nash had just two points, but he handed out 13 assists.

The Clippers were led by Chris Kaman with 24.

Phoenix defeated the Clippers for the eighth straight time and swept their season series for the second year in a row. Phoenix last lost to the Clippers on Jan. 15, 2008.
