Zidlicky competed for the Czech Republic at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, racking up five assists.

"Marek logs a large number of minutes every night and also creates a lot of offense for our team," Fletcher said. "We are excited he has agreed to continue to play with the Wild."

Zidlicky ranks fourth on the Wild in scoring this season, collecting five goals and notching 31 assists in 60 games. He is in his sixth NHL season and second with the Wild after being acquired in a trade from Nashville. Zidlicky has collected 52 goals and 201 assists in 443 career games.

The Wild also announced a two-year contract extension for defenseman Clayton Stoner, 25.
