Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 2 (UPI) -- Christian Ehrhoff scored 1:33 into overtime Tuesday, lifting the Vancouver Canucks over Columbus 4-3.
The winning goal came after Pavol Demitra sent a shot wide of Columbus goalie Steve Mason, Ryan Kesler gathered in the puck and whipped it to Ehrhoff, who found the goal on a shot from in close on the left side.
The Canucks also got goals from Demitra, Kyle Wellwood and Alexandre Burrows to improve to 5-4 on its nine game road trip. Andrew Raycroft, starting in goal in place of winning Team Canada goalie Roberto Luongo, let in three goals on 30 shots.
The Blue Jackets got tallies form Andrew Murray, Antoine Vermette and Derek Dorsett in the loss, while Mason stopped 27-of-31 shots.
