Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

BOSTON, March 2 (UPI) -- Glen Metropolit had a goal and an assist and Montreal exploded for four goals in the third period Tuesday to down Boston 4-1.
Trailing 1-0 entering the final period, Montreal tied the game at 2:40 when Tom Pyatt sent the puck into the slot for Metropolit, who redirected it into the net.
The Habs then took the lead at 7:24 when Boston goalie Tuukka Rask misplayed a Travis Moen shot and Maxim Lapierre poked the rebound in.
Mathieu Darche and Benoit Pouliot also found the net in the third for the Canadiens while Carey Price had a good game in goal, making 23 stops for Montreal.
Marco Sturm got Boston's only goal as the Bruins lost to the Canadiens for the fourth time in five games this season.
