COL BKB: Texas-El Paso 80, Marshall 76

HUNTINGTON, W.Va., March 2 (UPI) -- Randy Culpepper poured in 32 points Tuesday, lifting No. 21 Texas-El Paso to the Conference-USA regular season title with an 80-76 win over Marshall.

Derrick Caracter contributed 18 points and Claude Britten added 14 for the Miners (23-5, 14-1 in C-USA), who notched their 13th straight victory.

Thundering Herd (22-8, 10-5) had their seven-game winning streak snapped with the home loss.

Tyler Wilkerson scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds while Hassan Whiteside struck for 20 points and 14 boards for Marshall in a losing cause.
