Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Rashard Lewis put in 22 points and Vince Carter tallied 17 Sunday to give the Orlando Magic a 96-80 win over struggling Miami.
J.J. Redick came off the bench to score 15 for the Magic, who heated up in the third period to pull away. Orlando ended the quarter on a nine-point run, capped by Redick's two free throws, for a 76-64 advantage.
In the fourth, Redick and Lewis connected on 3-pointers to turn back a last-gasp comeback try by Miami, which lost its fourth straight game.
The Heat lost despite the return of Dwyane Wade from a four-game injury absence. He scored 21 points, while Jermaine O'Neal had 16 points and Rafer Alston scored 15.
