NBA: Denver 127, Golden State 112

OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups had 37 points and nine assists and Carmelo Anthony scored 27 Thursday in the Denver Nuggets' 127-112 win over Golden State.

J.R. Smith scored 25 and Ty Lawson had 12 points for Denver, which has won two straight and swept the season series 4-0 against the Warriors. Assistant Coach Adrian Dantley filled in for Coach George Karl, who missed his first game since announcing he has been diagnosed with throat and neck cancer.

The Nuggets were on fire from 3-point range -- Billups going 6-of-8, Smith hitting on 7-of-13 and Denver going 16-of-27 collectively.

Stephen Curry finished with 30 points and 13 assists for Golden State, which has lost 13 of its last 16 games.
