Olympic Medal: W Figure Skating

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Yu-Na Kim of South Korea won the Olympic gold medal Thursday in women's figure skating.

Her total score of 228.56 was the highest recorded for a women's international competition since figure skating judging underwent an overhaul following the 2002 Winter Games.

Mao Asada of Japan took the silver medal. The bronze went to Joannie Rochette of Canada.
