COL BKB: Kentucky 82, South Carolina 61

LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins combined for 42 points and 19 rebounds Thursday and No. 2 Kentucky beat South Carolina 82-61.

Patterson had 23 points to go with eight rebounds and Cousins had 19 points and 11 boards for the Wildcats (27-1, 12-1 SEC), who avenged their only loss of the season.

Devan Downey had 26 points and Lakeem Jackson scored 16 for the Gamecocks (14-13, 5-8), who lost their fourth straight.
