COL BKB: Notre Dame 68, Pittsburgh 53

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Notre Dame, led by Tim Abromaitis with 17 points, hit 10-of-18 shots from 3-point range Wednesday and knocked off No. 16 Pittsburgh 68-53.

Ben Hansbrough contributed 15 points, Tory Jackson scored 14 and Tyrone Nash had 13 for the Fighting Irish (18-10, 7-8 Big East), who played without leading scorer Luke Harangody, sidelined with a knee injury.

Jermaine Dixon scored 13 points for the Panthers (21-7, 10-5), who had won their previous five games.

Pitt hit just 4-of-18 3-point attempts.
