MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant scored 32 points Sunday -- his 28th straight game with at least 25 points -- to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 109-107 win over Minnesota.
Durant, the NBA's second-leading scorer this season, passed Allen Iverson's 2000-01 streak of 27 straight 25-point-plus performances and now is eyeing Michael Jordan's all-time record of 40 consecutive such games, a mark set in 1986-87.
Russell Westbrook notched a triple-double with 22 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in Oklahoma's ninth consecutive win, while Jeff Green added 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Minnesota, which fell to 9-20 at home, got 19 points and 14 boards from Kevin Love off the bench, while Jonny Flynn contributed 19 points and Damien Wilkins and Corey Brewer added 18 each.
