Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
DALLAS, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki had 28 points and Jason Kidd had 21 points and 11 assists Saturday in the Dallas Mavericks' 97-91 win over Miami.
Caron Butler scored 20, and Brendan Haywood had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Mavericks, who won their third straight and snapped a five-game Heat winning streak.
Daequan Cook led Miami with 22 points. The Heat -- playing a second straight game without Dwyane Wade (calf strain) -- got 18 points and 13 rebounds from Jermaine O'Neal.
