Olympic Medal: W Alpine Super G

WHISTLER, British Columbia, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Andrea Fischbacher of Austria won the Olympic gold medal Saturday in the women's super-giant slalom.

Tina Maze of Slovenia took the silver. The bronze went to Lindsey Vonn of the United States.

Vonn's bronze was the seventh alpine medal for the Americans at the Vancouver Olympics. The previous United States record in that department had been five.
