Kerber, Duque Marino reach Bogota finals

BOGOTA, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Angelique Kerber will meet Mariana Duque Marino in the finals of the Copa Colsanitas tennis tournament after both posted wins Saturday in Bogota.

No. 5 seed Kerber of Germany, playing in her first career semifinal, scored an upset over top-seeded Gisela Dulko 7-5, 6-3.

The day's other semifinal saw hometown favorite Duque Marino of Colombia dispatch eighth-seeded Arantxa Parra Santonja 6-4, 7-5.

Both Kerber and Duque Marino will be playing in their first-ever finals.

They have never faced each other.
