COL BKB: Kansas State 83, Oklahoma 68

NORMAN, Okla., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Denis Clemente poured in 27 points Saturday, including 15 from beyond the arc, to pace No. 7 Kansas State to an 83-68 victory over Oklahoma.

Clemente was 5-of-9 from 3-point territory while Curtis Kelly and Jacob Pullen each contributed 14 points for the Wildcats (22-4, 9-3 Big 12), who won their fifth straight contest and assured themselves a winning conference road mark for the first time since 1987-88.

With the Sooners within one point at 50-49 early in the second half, Kansas State went on a 9-0 run, all on 3-pointers, with Jamar Samuels and Clemente connecting during the game-changing streak.

Oklahoma (13-13, 4-8) mounted a late challenge, pulling to within eight points at 63-55 with just over 10 minutes left, but the Wildcats responded with an 8-0 run to seal the win.

Tommy Mason-Griffin scored 16 points for the Sooners, who have dropped four straight.
