Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Jarrett Jack netted 18 points Friday to help the Toronto Raptors pin the 50th loss of the year on the New Jersey Nets by a 106-89 margin.
Toronto also benefitted from Rasho Nesterovic's 16 points and seven boards and used 14 points apiece from Hedo Turkoglu and DeMar DeRozan to post a win over the hapless Nets.
The Raptors won despite playing without Chris Bosh, who sat out because of a sprained ankle. They made up for Bosh's absence by shooting nearly 60 percent from the field, taking their fourth win in five games.
New Jersey fell to 5-50 for the season with the defeat, its 10th loss in 11 games. The Nets were led by Brook Lopez with 22 points while Devin Harris netted 19 and Courtney Lee added 17.
